A Day at NYC

Comments:
Today, my boyfriend and I went to a day trip to NYC with our university!! It was SO awesome to have the opportunity to go to New York and enjoy all the things this exciting city has to offer! I couldn't ask for better company, my boyfriend kept me smiling all day long :)

The weather was actually FREEZING today... According to the weather channel, it was like -10 degrees Celsius but it felt like -15 degrees Celsius (which is about 5 degrees Fahrenheit!)... I truthfully could not feel my toes anymore, but that didn't stop us from going on our adventures!!

We started off by drinking a warm cup of coffee and a little snack at McDonald's. I know its not the fanciest place in the world, but it sure had a great view of Times Square (Plus the hasbrowns are to die for!)

Then we spent some time walking around the streets of New York holding hands. One of the best things of this city, in my opinion, is walking around the streets. They always have the coolest ads and decorations! Its as if the entire city was a box of surprises, you never know what you are going to see!

Later in the afternoon, we went to a really cool Broadway show called Rock of Ages. We actually bought our tickets at the discount booth, so we got second row tickets for a great price! It was aaawweessoooommeee!

After the show, we stopped by the Hershey's store! I loooove that store (even though I never buy anything) because its full of candy for one and also because it has such original and cute candy-inspired things!

Its always fun to go in there and take silly pictures. I am a silly person that likes to laugh and smile a lot, and its great to have a boyfriend that goes along with my games... jeje, its fun!

We wrapped up the day by buying a little something in American Eagle in order to have our picture come out on the HUGE HUGE (did I mention HUGE?) TV they have in Times Square. I gotta say, its pretty cool to see our picture THAT big in the middle of Times Square.. jeje

It was such a wonderful day at New York City! Something about that city just makes me feel alive and excited all day, as if its the place where dreams come true!! I don't know if it is or not, but I love my life and all of those who are in it, so my dreams have pretty much already come true :)

Daring to wear yellow tights

Walked around the shopping mall and went to a special college event filled with food and free giveaways! it was fun!

Comments:
This is the first time I wear these bright yellow tights my parents bought me for Christmas. If I could ask myself maybe 4 months ago if I would consider wearing these, I probably would have said no! jajaja, but things have changed! It all began when I saw Jessica from What I Wore wear an outfit with cool mustard tights:

I loved this outfit SO much that I totally shifted my opinion about such bright tights. Its incredible how much others can inspire you to try different things which you never thought you would like. And who would have known, I love wearing colored tights now!

So today I went to a special college event with free food and giveaways! My favorite part was that they had those photo booths for free! So my boyfriend and I decided to take a whole lot of pictures, they turned out so cute! Yai!

The giant Chicken from Giant

Where: Worked on the Valentine's day craft some more, went out to dinner with some friends, and stopped by the grocery store.

Comments:
I've told all of you that I am silly, right? jejeje, well if you didn't know, now you do! I was walking around the Giant grocery store today and I saw the funniest big chicken doll in the middle of nowhere! I couldn't help but make silly jokes and take fun pictures in the middle of the grocery store. Its wonderful to be silly and smile all the time.

In terms of the outfit, I know that there is this "rule" that says we aren't supposed to wear white during the winter. Well, who says?! I think that if a floral cute white skirt makes you happy, than go ahead and wear it in the winter! At least I did :)

Sometimes when I am thinking about what to wear, I come up with some "interesting" outfits such as this one. It is what my family and I commonly call "Funky outfits"... jajaja, it refers to outfits such as this one that are sorda "out there".

But like most things in my life, if it makes me happy than that is all there is to it! And it does make me happy, so here I am wearing my funky outfits! jeje.

Today I decided to try a trend I have seen many people wear lately: the belted scarf! I originally saw the inspiring ladies from Academichic wear them and it sorda grew on me. So for today's outfit, they were my inspiration.
