Happy Birthday mamitaaaa!!!!! Today is my mother's birthday and she is the best mother I could have ever dreamed of having. She is loving, sincere, caring, and just a wonderful role model in my life. I am so proud to say I am the daughter of such a perfect mother and father. I only have good memories and a lot of love for both of them, so happy birthday mamita!

To go along with my birthday challenge, I came up with an outfit and a sign inspired by my mother. My mom is the one that taught me how to dress nicely and she is just such a stylish woman! She is the absolute queen of making perfectly matched outfits in which she always looks so beautiful. So in honor of those wonderful skills, I decided to make an outfit in which all of the items matched each other perfectly. I also made sure to include blue in my outfit since that's her favorite color.

In terms of the Happy birthday sing, I decided to make it in the shape of a heart to resemble all the love she has given me throughout my life. I also decided to make it green and blue (I know that in the photos it doesn't look green and blue but it is) because that is one of her favorite color combos!

So I just want to say Happy Birthday to my mom and to let her know I am missing her so much over here! Love you mamita!

Calendar: June means sunny days and fun projects!

As some of you know, I decided a couple of months ago that it would be a fun idea to post my personalized calender the first day of every month... no particular reason why really, I just like showing what picture I chose for the month and share this little spark of happiness with all of you.

This month I chose to use a photo of my boyfriend and I with the beautiful Cherry Blossoms of Washington D.C. because I thought this was the perfect picture to go with the "June blooms" theme of the month. I also think this was the perfect choice because it reminds me of all the fun adventures my boyfriend and I have been on throughout the last year and a half :)

I'm really looking forward to my summer projects and these sunny days. What are your highlights of this summer?

I love how green and blue look together, don't you? I felt so colorful and funky in this outfit today! What I love the most is that this outfit is perfect to go out and around while still being work appropriate by just adding a short-sleeve blazer... it doesn't get much easier then that!

I also realized something very peculiar and funny today. I was walking back home after work while listening to music on my iPod when I suddenly realized that today's outfit matched my iPod perfectly! I do mean perfectly, my outfit is lime green, blue, and beige/white and my iPod is blue with lime green earphones with white details! jajaja what a coincidence huh? Yeah, I know its very silly, but it made me smile so I thought it was worth mentioning ;)
