Now that I have mixed patterns in several outfits, I'm starting to feel more confident in my pattern mixing abilities! It is especially easy to mix patterns of the same color and/or same pattern.

The best tip I can give on pattern mixing is to try to pair a subtle pattern with a bold pattern... at least that is what has worked for me so far :)

Relaxed by the sea

For the last day of Carnival Vacations, we decided to spend the day in a Ranchito (like a beach hut) by the sea.

It was a little piece of heaven on Earth. I spent all afternoon drinking piña coladas...

... and reading fashion magazines by the sea.

I even managed to take a nap with the sound of the ocean waves. The cool beach breeze was so relaxing. I really had a wonderful Carnival vacations!

Today is the 3rd day of Carnival vacations (Yippie!). I spent most of the day grocery shopping and hanging out with my boyfriend's mother. She truly is such a wonderful person to be with.

For some reason, I always feel like wearing flowers in my hair when I go to the beach. I took it a step further today by adding some beachy braids throughout my hair. I felt so tropical!
