Why don't you...
Play secret Santa with some friends this year! I personally really enjoy secret Santa because of many reasons. First, I love the idea of not knowing who is giving me a present and trying to figure out who it is (I NEVER figure it out... jeje). I also love to see the smile on people's faces when they open a gift, its so rewarding!

Now there are free websites that help organize Secret Santa gift exchanges with no need to put papers in a hat to choose who you are giving too. Websites such as Elfster were everyone signs up, it randomly assigns a person for each gift-giver making sure nobody gets themselves, and it even has features to ask anonymous questions or to post and view other people's whishlists! You should go take a look!

So go ahead and try a Secret Santa Exchange! Its a good way to celebrate Christmas with friends and dear ones. I personally like exchanging gifts at someone's house, then we order some yummy food and watch Christmas movies! Go ahead and give it a try!

Get into the Holiday spirit!! Christmas is one of the most joyful times of the year. Anyone could feel all the joy and excitement in the air, so we should all join in the fun too! Take the time to plan some fun and happy Christmas activities for this month. Christmas isn't just the 25th of December, its a chance to have innocent fun during the entire month! Here are a couple of things I love doing for Christmas:

Spend more time with your family. Many people love Thanksgiving holiday's because it is a time were the entire family gets together and catches up. But why should Thanksgiving be the only day of the year in which you put an effort in to seeing your family? We should all take the time to plan a couple more days in the year in which we visit our families and spend some quality time together. Just a simple weekend visit, or a Sunday morning breakfast together is all it takes for your family to know that you care. Plus, who doesn't love making their parents and family happy just with one's presence? At least I love it!

So go ahead, make a set of special days in the year in which you visit your family. It doesn't take too much effort really and seeing the smile on their faces is worth all the efforts.

Plan ahead and make some really unique thanksgiving desserts and treats!! I recently discovered recipes at Disney's family fun website and I am now completely inspired to try new and fun thanksgiving treats! They really look sensational and very easy to do! I think I enjoy making them and decorating them more than eating them.... well, not really, nothing beats eating them! jajaja. Anyway, keep an open mind and give it a try! Invite your best friend over, your mom, or your boyfriend and have a fun and happy day of making treats! Believe me, at the end, you will be very happy to eat them ;)

PS: The photo on the top is a cookie BTW... yes, the recipes on that site are THAT cool!

Surprise a friend with a batch of cookies! With all the pre-made cookie mix that supermarkets have these days, making a batch of cookies is quite easy and it doesnt take too long either! There is nothing greater than watching the smile on a good friend's face when you surprise them with a gift for no reason. Cookies not your thing? Well how about just writing them a little note saying thank you for your friendship, or buy a little pack of their favorite chocolates. Something as simple as this could show your best friend how much you care and appreciate them for all the support they have given you... So go ahead! I assure you, their smile is worth it!

PS: I just HAD to post a pic of these cookies... they are TOO awesome! I'll have to try these someday!

Make an effort this week to compliment one stranger each day. It may sound silly, but making other people happy can lead to making you feel happy as well. You know the good feeling you get when someone says something as simple as: Oh, I love your shoes!? Well, imagine all the joy you can spread with just telling this comment to one stranger each day. Dont be shy, just say a little something to someone and see how the smile on their faces will bring a smile to your own face.

Part of the reason why I'm such a happy person is because I have learned how to enjoy the simple things in life. I find happiness in the little details, in the things of everyday life that some people take for granted. Take a walk in the park and enjoy watching all of the beautiful fall trees. There is something magical about walking on trails that are covered in leaves while you simply soak up the beauty of red, orange, and yellow trees. Go with your boyfriend, or by yourself for that matter! Get inspired by watching how the leaves dance in the wind and how the fall trees create a sea of beautiful fall colors.
