Pattern Mixing Challenge: Girlie Pattern mixing

Where: Started a new project at work, so I feel proud of myself today :)

Comments:
So today is the second day of my Pattern Mixing Challenge and I think it's going very well so far! For today's outfit, I wanted to mix patterns in a way that was subtle but still interesting. So what I did was mix a very large print, like the florals on my skirt, with a smaller print, like the stripes on my top.

I really like how the patterns mix together! I also really like the overall feminine and "girlie" feel to this outfit.

When you mix patterns, do you try to go with one big pattern and one smaller one?

I'm soooo dissapointed with my photo collage program. I use a free software called Shape Collage and I just love it. The thing is that I updated it to the latest version and now all my collages have a huge sign in the middle saying "Shape Collage". It's teerrrriiibblleee, so I won't be able to post collages anymore... sorry guys :(

I do like today's outfit though :)

I love how bright the orange cardi is. Even though I am mixing the striped pattern of the cardi with the floral pattern on the dress, I feel that they go well together and don't compete for attention. One outfit down, 6 more to go! Hopefully at the end of this challenge I will be better at mixing patterns!

This next week I will be doing a pattern mixing challenge! I'm very very veeerrryy new to pattern mixing, so I don't know how well I will be able to do this challenge... I promise to do my best though :)
