Anti-Me Challenge Day 7: Oooh and Aahh at the fireworks

Comments:
I had the most wonderful 4th of July today! My friends and I decided to go to Washington D.C. to celebrate the day. So, for the 7th and last day of my Anti-Me Challenge, I went with something simple, practical, and yet polished. I really like how the red blazer pops and adds structure to my collar shirt. I also of course love these plaid pumps, but that's nothing new ;)

We spent most of the day at Georgetown having a wonderful lunch and going shopping. I bought THE coolest blazer ever and I'm so excited to wear it! Also, today was an extremely hot day... so I treated myself to a yummy cold ice cream cone.

At night, we went to see the fireworks at the Lincoln Memorial. Truthfully, those fireworks are just amazing! I know that most Americans are used to seeing such a spectacular firework show, but I have never seen something quite like it. I was just oohhh-ing and aaahhh-ing at the beautiful colors and shapes. Aaahh, it was just so magical!

My Choice of Outfit of the week: Love those bold stripes!

This week's outfit of the week goes to Indy from The Fabulosity Factor! As soon as I saw this look, I immediately fell in love with it. I really like the big bold stripes, very nautical chic! I also really love the hat. In fact, I love it so much that I want one now... jeje. Indy finished the look off nicely with the brown purse and long gold necklace. Great outfit Indy!

Anti-Me Challenge Day 6: Playing with my hair

Today I came up with a simple and hassle free look for the 6th day of my Anti-Me Challenge. I was sooooo comfy in this look, and I think it has subtle details that make the outfit interesting and chic. First off, the lovely pattern on the back of this blouse. Second, the colorful floral purse. And third, I decided to play around with my hair to come up with a new hair-do. This is how it turned out:

I am not entirely convinced with this hair-do, but I think it could be the start of something nice. I like the idea of having the braids wrapped around the bun, but it needs to be neater. Also, I think it would look better with a center part rather than a side part. Well, it was good enough for my first try! I'm sure I'll get it better next time :)
