Going to the Beach...

Just wanted to let you all know that I am going to the beach for a couple of days. I will be back on Tuesday, so I won't be able to post anything until then. I promise to work a little harder to keep the blog updated, sorry for all the delays!

Another special Christmas

As I said yesterday, I absolutely LOVE Christmas! It's so much fun to spend time with the family and share laughs. Today we woke up to lots of presents under our tree... I always feel so excited to see all the presents as if I was still a little child :)

This year I decided to give each of my parents a customized calendar! I basically got a pretty calendar (cars for my dad and pretty flowers for my mom) and then I added pictures of the family. I also added some "Thank you's" for all the wonderful things they have done for us. They really seemed to like their present so that made my day.

This year, we also managed to frame the painting I gave my parents last Christmas. I think it looks great in the frame, don't you?! You can barely notice that it's a Paint By Number... hehe

Of course our pets also decided to join the fun. I always enjoy watching Sammy, my sister's dog, all dressed up with his Christmas outfits... hehe, so adorable!

We all really had a wonderful time opening presents and sharing memories together. Family really is the best present we could ever ask for and I'm so fortunate to have a wonderful and loving family... Cheers to family!

My Choice of Outfit of the Week - Vintage Cutie

This week's outfit of the week goes to Iris from Fashion Zen!! I love the overall vintage feeling of this outfit! The dress is so feminine and cute; but Iris contrasted that wonderfully with the structured blazer. Finally, she finished it off with the cutest hat! Good job Iris!

A Black & White Christmas Eve

Had a delicious dinner and went to mass with my family (as we do every year on Christmas Eve).

Comments:
I just LOVE the Holiday season! I love all the decorations, buying gifts for others, baking treats, singing songs... I love it ALL! It's definitely my favorite holiday of the year. Every year, my mother and I make a ton of delicious holiday treats... they are so fun to make, but even funner to eat :)

Every year for Christmas Eve, my family and I all get dressed up and we have dinner together. We also go to mass later in the evening. This year, I was surprised to see that all three of us girls (my mom, my sister, and I) all dressed in black & white outfits... haha. Even though we didn't coordinate on purpose, I thought it was so cute how we matched each other.

I had a lovely evening with my family. It's so wonderful to be home! I love spending time with each and every one of them. Of course, we all missed my brother who lives in Spain... but he was here with us in our hearts.

Where: Celebrated a friend's birthday at a Spanish restaurant.

Comments:
Today I celebrated a friend's birthday at a Spanish restaurant and had a wonderful time. I really love Spanish food like paella and tapas (not sure if they are said the same in English). However, I have never really liked wine.

I was surprised to find out that all of my friends enjoy drinking wine now and it is common for them to go out and drink wine together. I don't know why, but I have never been able to enjoy the taste of wine... I know it's an acquired taste so I guess I'll keep tasting it to see if someday I like it :)
